Formal negotiations for a UN treaty to end plastic pollution began.
Stakeholders, including the Ellen MacArthur Foundation, had the opportunity to provide submissions on potential elements to be included in the treaty text, for consideration of the Member States.
At the third round of negotiations, the INC reviewed and discussed the “zero draft” treaty text.
The fourth round of negotiations will mark an important milestone as the second-to-last round.
The ambition is to complete the negotiations for a UN treaty in this final round in Korea.
